Who?
Arte-Sano is a living practice. It is a multidisciplinary healing arts haus where creativity is simply medicine, and its core purpose is to share healing—born from the belief that through the pathways of restoration, i.e., movement, story, and visual art, if you seek healing, then you will obtain the benefits of handmade healing with Arte-Sano as your guide.
Arte-sano is founded and led by Zabi Artesano. Zabi identifies as a queer, non-binary artist/craftsman, healer, and storyteller whose life and work reside at the intersection of body, mind, and spirit, hence the pathways of Artesano. Born from a lifetime of devotion to handmade healing, resilience, and transformation, Arte-Sano reflects Zabi's ability to merge craftsmanship, movement arts, and narrative expression into a unified, living ecosystem. Every project from furniture restoration to music, painting, ritual, storytelling, and yoga Arte-Sano carries Zabi's signature blend of emotional precision, kinetic imagination, and spiritual depth.
What?
Arte-Sano's mission is carried out by Zabi's gift for breathing life back into bodies, objects, and stories. Guided by the philosophy that beauty is a healing act, Arte-Sano champions the reclamation of personal power through creation.
Arte-Sano's three pathways of restoration are:
- Body Pathway: Movement (Blest Rivers)
- Mind Pathway: Creation (Healing Heart[s] Haus)
- Soul Pathway: Remember (Soul Craft)
Where?
The idea of Arte-Sano originated in thought during the Walk-About, i.e., 2010. It became official or a life practice in Woonsocket, RI when Zabi first got ARTESANO tattooed on their fingers in Phoenician runes about a year after. Zabi attempted to plant the seeds in New Orleans, Louisiana when they lived there and again in Rhode Island when Zabi moved back after spending the New Year in NYC, i.e., 2018. but both lead to dead ends.
Over this time, Arte-Sano grew from more than just a thought. It grew into a creative engine built from the ground up by Zabi's hands and spirit, a sanctuary.
Today, Arte-Sano is proudly growing within the vibrant metropolis of Atlanta, Georgia. Soon to be rooted. Would you like to help? Here's ways you can help.
